Redoing lounge room
Comments (9)Thanks Carole, yes we are very keen to knock out that wall - I have to be restrained from bringing the sledgehammer inside until we get a proper load-bearing beam organised! Once thats done and the books are off the floor and on the wall opposite we will have to think of rearranging this space - I still like it split up by a couch, but perhaps we could put a larger dining table in the new space....See MoreNeed help with lounge room.
Comments (9)I would use a bookcase unit with closed doors on the lower half and not too high. Wide and low maybe. Closed lower cabinets are great for toys, games and will not clutter. Open shelves tend to get cluttered after a while. When displaying books, use in stacks standing and lying down. Open space between groupings, not all lined up in rows. Add some decor items sprinkled among the books to give the eye a visual break. I would choose a horizontal art piece for the chair wall. Add some art on the long TV wall leaving a lot of bare wall between the TV . and the artwork between the corners of the chair wall and the window wall....See Morewhat can I do with this space?? help!
Comments (11)Wow, that was awesome Mark, thanks for that and everyone else. I thought about the desk facing the other way actually, to avoid feeling enclosed I do have really great views there so I thought about a small couch and maybe a bookshelf on the back, but having the dining table in front is probably not the best either.... complicated :( Here are a couple more pics, today was a beautiful day so I managed to get more of the views...See MoreLounge still not working with this two seater???
Comments (7)Here's an alternative to a recliner that you may not have considered. It is a snuggle chair with matching Ottoman. It swivels too. Available from Plush Sofas. I love ours... So relaxing and there is room for two adults. Available in leather or lots of other fabrics too. I took this photo of the shop display one before we bought ours......See Moremacyjean
