Caesarstone Airy Concrete- is it hard to maintain?

Hi, I am after opinions and advice about the Caesarstone Airy Concrete bench tops. I have read mixed reviews about this range being very difficult to maintain due to easily staining and marking. I haven’t been able to find a similar colour/texture in other products. I don’t want to make a decision that we regret! Thanks

Hi Toby, we have caesarstone fresh concrete which has a similar finish. It does show watermarks and grease etc more easily at certain angles and jn certain light due to the matt surface but is easy to clean with Enjo. We live the way it looks and feels and have absolutely no regrets.

Thanks, your kitchen looks lovely. We are the same, absolutely love it but just worried we will be forever anxious about it getting stained. Do the water marks and grease come out with enjo?

Hello Tobi, Caesarstone Airy Concrete is made with the same core materials and method as all their other range of colours. Caesarstone is Reconstituted Stone which is very easy to maintain and is a very good material for kitchen benchtops. The Reconstituted Stone Caesarstone's Airy Concrete is easier to maintain than real Concrete, just be careful with acids and keep it away from naked flames.

    Hope this helps, Malcolm.

Hi Tobi, thank you. Yes Enjo gets everything out. Similar to Malcolm just with Enjo cloth you use cold water with the ‘kitchen glove’ then buff with the ‘kitchen miracle’. Both bench tops and splash back take less than 10 minutes. I use the Enjo marble paste on the edges where belt buckles leave grey ‘scratches’ they buff straight out and then I do the glove/buff routine. I don’t sell Enjo - honest! Before we got the rep over I tried the cleaning kit from caesarstone, spray n wipe, windex & magic erasers . Nothing came close to what we do now. I think it might be because the Matt surface has tiny crevices in it and the fibres get in there with just water so no residue. Get what you love you won’t regret it.

Hi Toby! I'm wondering whether you went with airy concrete and whether you have any pics and comments? We are thinking of using the same!

I’ve had Airy Concrete in my kitchen for a while now and honestly, the "difficult" reputation is a bit of an exaggeration, but you do have to change your habits. Because of that matte, textured finish, it doesn't just wipe clean with a sponge like the polished surfaces do; you’ll see ring marks from coffee or oil spots much more clearly. I’ve found that keeping a bottle of Caesarstone’s cream cleanser or even just some soft scrub handy is a lifesaver for those stubborn marks. If you’re the type who leaves spills overnight, you might regret it, but if you're okay with a little extra elbow grease to keep that industrial look, nothing else really nails the aesthetic quite like this shade.
