Plumbing Renovating Bathrooms

Extending ensuite into wardrobe.

My partner and I began renovating our house some time ago and have come to a bit of a stand still with the ensuite.

We ended up extending the ensuite out into the wardrobe and relocating the WIR completely.

The issue I’m facing is that because we extended into the WIR, the slab needs to either be cut back and honed to allow for the fall in the shower, or cut out completely and re-poured. Keeping in mind we have to also relocate the plumbing for the shower and basin drains.

Wondering what everyone’s experience has been with similar situations or if anyone has any bright ideas?

I’ve attached floor plans and a photo of the construction site for reference.

There are always compromises in renovations. Consider not having a tiles base. A pre-formed shower base is more forgiving of fall issues.

Talk to your plumber. It will depend on slab construction

Reconsider not having a bathtub in your large master bath space, which currently has a good bit of wasted space, for your convenience as well as for future buyers. You also don't appear to have any counterspace or storage by the sinks, the shower is big enough that you don't need a door on it, and a small freestanding soaker tub could fit under the window in the wet area of the space if the door to the bathroom was moved a couple of feet up the wall opposite the sinks. You can't put furniture on that wall, anyway, due to the traffic pattern.
