This is a specialised question which I am throwing out there on the chance someone might know.
Long story short - if your existing power supply is less than 3m from your old house and has been that way for many, many years can you continue to use that connection when you have finished rebuilding? Ie can your new house be less than 3m from the power line in NSW

(There is a temporary diversion for the actual rebuild).
LONGER STORY
We are doing a knockdown rebuild in NSW . Our previous power came from a pole in the neighbours garden less than 2m from our old house. Our wire has been temporarily relocated to a builders pole in the back of our block to allow the build.The neighbours wire has been changed to connect on their roof well away from our house.
We wanted to relocate our and the neighbours power underground (at great expenses I may add) but after 2years of extraordinarily complicated and expensive negotiations between the power supplier and crown roads (which unfortunately we front) we are at the stage of giving up and considering reconnecting to the old pole.
Can we do this or since it will be less than 3m from a ‘new’ house will that be not allowed.
