How to decorate around ugly blue and beige tiles in a rental?
Comments (28)Thanks all - our belongings arrive this week so I will have a go at transforming the space with what we have then search for new things to add. We have quite a bit of art with strong yellow colors and also a Tibetian Chest with yellows and greens. Thanks again!...See MoreIs my beach house too blue
Comments (56)It's refreshing to see nautical, navy BLUE. Everyone is saying the same thing for the most part - just introduce another color, definitely bright (yellow or orange IMO) and it will make it more current. What I really like is how your style will withstand the test of time - and with minor updates now and then it will always look fresh and "current"....See MoreCountertop conundrums
Comments (36)~$400 including expedited shipping. My GC just had his regular countertop guy do them, which wasn't great.... he had trouble making clean cuts. If I were going to do it again I would have pressed for someone with expertise to cut them. You can see in the image that the facing is not made of the stone peak, because too much was broken during the cutting to make the mitered edge. I'm a little bummed, but mostly pleased with the surface (which is the important part) thus far....See Moreliving room ..........
Comments (1)As you probably know your current colour pallet is very restricted to the couch, curtain, arm chair, carpet and TV & TV cabinet. This colour of white (or cream - it is hard to tell in the picture) should really brighten up the room. The couch cushions and throw could also take on the black from the TV but my base colour would be the cream / white - what ever colour the curtains are. I would also add art work and a standing lamp. Maybe black and white art and a few nick nacks on the TV stand....See More- last year
