Blocking Afternoon Sun with Pitched Roof

We have just built this lovely deck and have very hot afternoon sun coming in making it unusable every afternoon. Does anybody have any ideas on a way to shade this with an external blind or pull down with this shaped roof?

I am happy for it to extend both sides of the pitch or just the deck side.

Thank you

Try Ziptrak blinds , they custom make for most situations.

A more permanent shade and rain protector would be to install ALUMINIUM movable louvres. Or aluminium plantation shutters.
You can close or open each panel of louvres as you need for wherever the sun or rain is coming from. When the louvres are moved completely open you can still see the view. Louvres can be custom built to the roof pitch angle. Or remove the glass balustrade and do the entire west facing side. We did this in our previous home. I installed aluminium TIMBER look louvres. Opened and closed as required.

I rummaged on the internet and found real estate photos of our old house. This shows the aluminium shutters we installed in the gable open end of our odd shaped alfresco area that we built. Aluminium timber look, movable louvres. This was also the west side of alfresco.
