I designed this apartment kitchen using an oak finish for the the hidden pantry/fridge/laundry zone and shelving. It was a liner functioning kitchen with sink and hobs controled by apartment services contraints.

A single bowl sink in a kitchen is one of my pet peeves. I don’t understand how people don’t need a second bowl during peak use. Anyway, can you extend the cabinetry on the fridge side by another 20cm or so. And give the extra space to the pantry?

You have 1790mm across the space of the kitchen. How functional will this space work for, example, getting vegetables out of the fridge for food prep? Where can you quickly put them on a bench, instead of walking back and forth from fridge to bench/sink. I would suggest you may find you need a small movable bench in the middle of kitchen space. I also would have 1 and 3/4 sink. We don’t know what your overall aesthetic is for your home, but your renders look very cold and shiny. Definitely need some timber warmth.

Consider resale in future re sink. As you can see from comments, its a must for many people.

From your renders ditch the display cubbies at the end. They are a nice to have not a must, and you need the space for your pantry.

If you’re going to be there a while and it makes you happy then have what you want. But do a comparison with how much pantry space you have now. A new kitchen is a big investment to make to end up with less functionality.

JBD, I would make sure you install pocket doors on the enclosed appliance area. To have hinged doors would be troublesome and annoying. Pocket doors fold and disappear. You can keep them out of the way when using appliance area. Hinged doors would be open and in the way of a functional kitchen.

I think you need to spend more time on the actual function of kitchen, instead of the aesthetics.

It is a very good change to have an open area in corner bench top, left of stove top. Otherwise it would be a very difficult corner cupboard to access.

Some practical things - where does the bin/recycling/compost go, don’t forget power pints go and your lighting needs changing. When you get to the quote stage you’ll need to specify that the cabinetry within the appliance cupboard and the display cupboard match the exterior as that won’t be standard. Are the tiles shown just for the renders (a vertical subway seems a cop out)? I like the sage green with the wood tones. Are you using actual samples of products? If not, most websites eg polytechnic will provide samples at low or no cost.

Your breakfast/appliance cupboard needs power. Are you planning a microwave?

And you could consider power to the drawers in the display cupboard for a charging station.
