Quality Corded Hot Stapler 100W-200W ?

Hi all, I really want to buy quality corded hot stapler 200W.

1-Most of the bad reviews for the hot stapler gun are complaints of it overheating and dying after just a few uses. I'm not sure if the wattage plays a part in that or if it's just a bad design (no ventilation holes).

2- I see that for the hot stapler gun, there are choices from 50w to 200w. I thought about getting the 100w or 200w (yes that depends on what I am fixing and yes I am aware that higher watt means heat faster)

3-Not sure if staple kits are universal or we have to buy specific ones for the brand that we have, maybe it comes in different diameters?

4-Will be used for car broken plastic or home items that need to be fixed

5-Yes portable one more convenient but may be battery will be exhausted quickly yes that depends how long it would be used,,,,hence I choose corded one

6-Bughet up to $300

Any suggestion which brand should I buy ?

I’ve gone through a couple of those cheap 50W units and they really struggle with thicker automotive plastics, so looking for 100W+ is definitely the right move. In my experience, the overheating issue usually comes from people holding the trigger way too long because the lower-wattage tools take forever to sink the staple. With a $300 budget, you should look into something like the Astro Pneumatic or a professional-grade kit from a dedicated auto body supplier, they’re built for continuous use and don’t feel like they're going to melt in your hand. Most staples are pretty universal (usually 0.6mm or 0.8mm), so you aren't locked into one brand for refills, which is a huge plus for long-term maintenance.
