We're currently exploring different approaches to custom cabinetry and built-in storage for California homes, and I'd love to hear what other homeowners think.
In many homes, especially living rooms, home offices, and family spaces, there seems to be a balance between maximizing storage and maintaining an open, airy feel.
Some homeowners prefer floor-to-ceiling custom built-ins because they provide excellent organization and reduce clutter. Others prefer fewer cabinets to keep rooms feeling larger and less visually busy.
If you were remodeling today, would you prioritize:
• More built-in storage
• More open wall space
• A combination of both
I'm interested in hearing how others approach this decision and what has worked best in your own homes.
I've also been reading about different custom cabinetry and built-in storage solutions here:

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.
