assuming the bathroom is an ENS my suggestions include a double walk in shower with sliding glass doors and bathtub viewed from the entry but other options might be possible depending on surrounding rooms and your plans about existing windows

Thanks Louise very kind of you to have a look. It’s a main bathroom and as it’s a Queenslander of a certain age the windows cannot be moved. That’s why I made shower/toilet next to each other…so toilet not in front of window. It’s tricky!

two windows show on the original photos but not in your plans?? please add sizes and precise location (ie height, width and height off floor and distance from side side wall) of windows and plans of the whole floor of the house

Are you decreasing the size of the existing bathroom shown in the pics? Is where the missing window from OKL,s query goes?

I’d leave the current layout or do okl layout with single shower on inside wall.

There is a full remodel of existing bathroom, ensuite and bedroom. The full plan of what has been suggested to us is below. The reason for my alternate plan is that the neighbours front door is right outside of where it’s suggested the toilet is. I’ve added a pic. The widow height is 900mm from floor. Maybe it’s not a problem??? 🤷🏻‍♀️

The OKL and the professional plan match. This is your best option. Use an internal or external shutter to mitigate the front door issue, it doesn’t look a big problem.

You can keep the existing windows and update them using a carpet and different fittings to become a wind out window if needed for additional privacy. Wind out windows offer less air flow but you can prioritise your preferences.

or you could just add a sheer curtain BUT whne planning such a big renovation it would be useful to consider a range of alternative options eg (subject to accurate dimensions and window locations) a different location for ens with a separate powder room and family bathroom

I think the professional plans are good, which is the same as oklouise first plan. You might be overthinking the neighbours front door issue. The bathroom is on the second floor….and as others have suggested, a simple sheer curtain, or outside aluminium louvres will fix the sight line issues. This is the best layout for your space. The toilet needs fresh air, especially since it is the same room as people brushing their teeth.
