Full disclosure: I work with HAZO WORLD in Australia. I ran this test to compare public online buying paths—not to rank overall product quality.
I used one brief: 4,800 mm wide × 3,000 mm projection; Full Cassette; motorised; standard frame and fabric; no premium extras. I chose 4.8 m so it required a made-to-measure product rather than an off-the-shelf size. I did not submit any enquiry or personal information.
The interesting part wasn't which number was lowest. It was what a buyer could confirm before becoming a lead.
• HAZO Flex and Pro accepted the full brief, let me select key options and showed current GST-inclusive supply-only estimates: A$2,376 for Flex (including A$110 Small Order Adjustment) and A$4,055 for Pro.
• Helioscreen Cassette showed a A$10,200–A$10,400 product-only guide after model and size; transport, installation, electrical work and possible additions were excluded.
• markilux allowed detailed configuration but required a dealer enquiry for price.
• MIY advertised instant DIY-kit pricing, although its public Build link reached a Hub access gate in this test.
• Luxaflex and Wynstan asked for contact details before an exact 4.8 × 3 m specification or price.
These numbers are not like-for-like final quotes, so subtracting them would be misleading. The useful test was whether I could understand five things upfront: exact supported size, model/specification, what changes price, what is included, and whether the figure is a guide, estimate or formal quote.
If you have bought a made-to-measure awning or outdoor product: what did you want to see online before talking to sales? Would a realistic supply-only estimate help, or would you rather start with a site visit?
