Comments (4)I can't seem to figure out how to get a great picture of a tongue and groove living room that also has ceiling molding, off of one of my houzz ideabooks to show you that this style you like, can and does look good together. Comments (24)If you use masonry paint, we could head in a warm greige direction for all of it - not so yellow . .. something that can give you a bit more contrast against the white windows and trim - even 40 does a lot for us . . . what about a blue green gray? You will get a coastal / mod vibe and it will relate to the farmhouse look .. .above bm silver mink http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/silvermink and below . . . gilbraltar cliffs . . http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/gibraltarcliffs Shingle look siding on the side dormers would be neat to get that cottage mod. . . you can stick with yellow but I don't think it complements the roof tone. Comments (5)Alternatively, if you just want to get the water marks out of the wood: Set an iron to warm (not hot) and allow it to heat. Lay a cotton napkin or tee shirt over the water stain. Iron the stain through the cloth for 5-10 seconds, then remove the heat for 20-30 seconds. Repeat as necessary, buffing lightly with the cloth after every 2-3 heat cycles. A hair dryer may used instead of the iron. Set it to medium heat and hold 2-4 inches from the stain. Buff the stain with the napkin or tee shirt as you heat the wood....See Morewhat can I do with this space?? help!
