Our client wanted to create a more inviting feeling in their apartment, by making it more functional with the right size furniture and furniture placement. They wanted the space to feel lighter and brighter and they wanted to be able to entertain and have a little piece of paradise. This client wanted the space to have a Scandi feel with soft pops of colour, including blue tones & marble materials incorporated.

Living and dining:

With this space all flooring was changed throughout. New light timber floorboards were installed and the walls were painted with a brighter white with a soft grey undertone. Just this alone made such a big difference to the space. We then sourced a gorgeous round dining table with a marble top to give this space easy access to the kitchen which was just off the dining.

Bathrooms:

The bathroom was completely gutted and by selecting a soft grey tile that was large in scale for the floor and walls, made this space feel larger then what it was. We kept with the grey tiles as the client also loved grey. To add some interest we laid the tiles in a herringbone pattern on the floor and up 1 side of the shower wall. We combined black fixtures and fittings to add a luxe feel and a vanity with timber to soften the space and give it some warmth. To add to that luxe feel we kept the bath where it originally was as the space was tight, and added a free standing bath instead so this became a relaxing haven.

Bedroom:

As the main bedroom had the ensuite it was important to carry elements from the bathroom into the bedroom so that the flow of the space felt right. We did this by replacing the carpet to a grey tone that sat nicely against the bathroom tiles and the new timber flooring. Also as you could see the timber vanity from the bedroom it was important to carry the light timber into the bedroom. We did this by selecting oak bedsides and chest of drawers. We sourced a blue velvet bedhead which gave the room a focal point and the velvet gave it a beautiful feel. It also tied in with the living room colours. The artwork selected had soft toned colours and we selected colours from that piece of artwork for the cushions and bedding.
