We have a TINY bathroom which doubles as our laundry. We have been told we need to have BOTH a laundry tub AND a sink to wash our hands! We don't have room! We live in NSW...does anyone have any nifty solutions or photos....
are you planning a new building or renovating an existing home and do you have any plans of the whole house with dimensions of available space for the new bath/laundry and location of doors and windows
We are renovating an old house and must use the existing bathroom as a laundry as there is nowhere else to place it. We are not in a position to extend or move walls and have to use what we have.
within a budget and available space the best option is to retain the existing floorplan and use a deep handbasin for both laundry and handwashing... i'm not aware of any legal reason why you need a basin and tub in a combined room so curious about that advice...but other option could be to combine the laundry in a kitchen or on the wall outside the bathroom enclosed in a cupboard but can't be specific without whole house plans and more info
If you do indeed have to have both basin and trough, then I’d investigate popping a tiny basin in the existing toilet. You may be able to partially recess it in the wall. That will allow you room to pop a trough in the current basin’s position.
