Cost of Electric Windows

Can anyone tell me the price jump between a normal awning or louvre windows to an electric one? thinking of putting a window up 2m high for air flow but obviously won't be practical to have it manual.

OR... I am installing a sky window on the roof...would it just be cheaper to make that sky window electric and operable, rather than installing a second set of window to be electric?

one of our highlight awning windows has an electric opener which was an extra $350 plus electricians' labour about 3 years ago... we could have had several windows opened with the one motor and we're very glad we installed the (noisy) motor to save climbing a ladder but keep in mind that light and ventilation is affected by overhanging eaves and the electric roof window would provide much more direct light and ventilation at greater cost but only way to make a considered decision is to research quotes (plus labour) for both

re roofing from 10 degree angle to 45 degrees - cost? 9metre x 16 metr

Debating replacing a 10 degree roof with a 45 degree roof to optomise going off the grid. Building is 9 metres wide [includes 500 eaves] by 12 metres long. We would increase the length to 16 metres to cover an existing deck with ancient corrugated plastic roof. Question is cost. We have the room to build the roof on site and crane into place otherwise make it offsite. We would need to put a couple of windows in length to give character. We would use dark grey ribbed coloursteel ideally and reclad south and west walls with the same material. Does anyone out there have an opinion?

Depending on latches and fixing area, etc - you could get a good glazier with a bit of finesse to custom make a mirror to fit into the window area, and then just centre the vanity below the window. Provided the window glass is obscure, it will still look like a window from the outside, but you'll have an interesting recessed mirror in your bathroom! (hope that makes sense) But, If you want a seperate shower then it looks like you'll have to alter a lot of plumbing anyway, so you might as well move the vanity while you're at it.
