I agree with Jan that it would be better to find another spot for one of the two seaters as its two squashed this would allow you to move the two arm chairs further into that space, and with Julie to move your fabulous gold arm chair back to where it was, it's a statement piece, lovely room
Would this suit?
Hi Sdsth, you have a lovely room but I dont see a tv anywhere so is this a formal room? I think it was a good move to sell the sofas and replace them but do you need to put so much seating in this area? One of your original issues was the sofas blocking entry into the area and confining the space and a corner lounge with its two long backs may create the same problem, especially as your have multiple entry points into the room so the area needs to be kept open and accessible especially on the left side. The single chairs and end sofa originally were too far apart with nothing in between so bringing the occasional chairs in a little so they are not hard up against the wall and also positioning the facing lounge a little further in, and then adding a coffee table in the centre, will really bring the space together. How about a a chaise lounge which will give you a little more seating but wont have the two backs blocking entry and would look visually less cluttered. If you want a lighter colour a light tan leather sofa would work beautifully with your existing black/gold/light grey colour scheme and add some warmth.
