Laundry ideas
Comments (6)Thank MAJ we are living in a warehouse 320 sq meters. We have been here for 10 years and although we love the open plan..it's like living in a fridge in winter. So we have decided to spilt the space into two identical four bedroom apartments. We will build a mezzanine level and have 2 bathrooms and one kitchen. We currently have our laundry appliance in the kitchen behind a cupboard. With 20 year olds and their partners living with us on and off, we have a lot of laundry when they leave their dirty laundry stays behind. We do not want to create a laundry room but a compact laundry in either a bathroom downstairs on a kitchen. So my question is what have people tried and what works. Thanks...See MoreCalling all plumbing professionals!
Comments (1)I forgot to mention the bare bulb sticking out of the wall over the sink, which is something I'm terrified of every day haha! I also measured the bathroom and drew a floor plan with measurements in inches....See MoreLaundry Crates??
Comments (7)Is that a wall to the left of the machine? Or an appliance? I like "patrim's" ideas and would add if that is a wall, hang your crates there to stash your supplies in if you don't want to invest in cabinetry (or cant fit supplies under sink), this way you get the functionality but don't see them when you walk in the room (assuming you are entering from where you took picture). And hang a picture or something more decorative over the washer/ sink as this is where your eye will go. I'd also consider painting the walls a pretty color, to contrast with your wood trim and warm up the room a bit. I love the window, great light for a laundry room!...See MoreBathroom & Laundry Renovation - Before & After
Comments (0)This project required a small renovation, where my clients wanted to create something simple and light, without costing a fortune. In the guest bathroom we were able to leave the plumbing as is and worked on replacing the WC, Shower and Vanity. In the laundry the area in the room behind the counter, storage area was pushed back allowing for a larger space within the narrow room. A new door was put in and a new window. Before: After: This extension of space allowed for the guest bathroom to be extended out as well to allow for a larger vanity and all round larger and more accommodating space. The counter top in the laundry is bamboo, the simple black tiles above and perhaps later down the clients will put up cupboards and shelving as suggested. Before: After: The light grey ceramic tiles on the floor replaced the dark ones that made the space feel small and cramped. The white on the walls and new lighting give a totally different feel to the room and makes it a far more welcoming space to work in. Check entire project here!...See Morecmnaustralia
