We don't have a front door!

We've recently purchased this ranch home that sits on 8 acres. You approach the house across a large pasture, coming through pairs of golden elm trees that flank a two track and arriving at the BACK of the house and a 2 car garage.

At one time, the front door was on the OPPOSITE side of the house... the SCENIC side... but it was replaced during an addition with a large picture window and deck. Now the only entrance (other than a doorwall on the deck) is a side door that is accessed through the breezeway that leads directly into the kitchen.

We would like to add an "entry" on what is currently the back side of the house, making it look more like the front side of the house and giving clear direction to those who arrive as to where to go to come into our house!

The rooms on this backside of the house from left to right are: bedroom (1 window on far left), main bathroom (2 vertical windows), small bedroom (double window), and kitchen (4 windows). Our plan is to use the small bedroom as the entryway into the house as it is quite small (8x10).

What sort of things should we consider (design wise on the exterior) to help make the back of the house more like a front?

We are going to be repainting the house and roof in the very near future and are thinking about white with an espresso roof to match the fencing color. I'd welcome thoughts on that as well. The house is located in New Zealand so weather is 50s-80s all year.

I've included photos of the other side of the house as well just to give an overall feel for the design.

Thank you.
