I just love his arcitechtural style...
i love it.
thanks for the tour. would love more like this
So very Frank Lloyd Wright -- all stone, brick, and angles and not a comfortable place to sit anywhere!
Monster Mansion. Ugly
INCREDIBLE BEAUTY, such a genius and artist! This is my favorite, tied with Imperial Hotel which just happens to be the theme of my master suite. My library/office theme is FLW Usonian. A collection of drone videos of his works would absolutely be something i would purchase on blu ray.
Are you kidding me! I have seen pictures of Hollyhock before but they did not do what two and a half minutes just did to me. This is the best short video I've seen in twenty years. The house is the star but the presentation outstanding. The time lapse is appropriate in this example. The detailing and cutting exceptional. Thank you. Thank you.
What a great feature. Even though I've been there, this was such beautiful way to view it and its unique position in LA. Gorgeous!
Love the time lapse so you can see how the windows throw their shadows. Excellent filming. Thank you
I love Frank Lloyd Wright. Thanks for bringing the beautiful details of this house to us. Almost Egyptian in many ways and yet he combines the outdoor and indoor spaces so much better.
Wow! Both films were stunning! What an amazing "home". I am so glad that the significance of this beautiful project has been recognized and that it has been so graciously restored. Thank you for producing these lovely videos. I could ( and will ) watch them over and over.
Beautiful home and very well produced videos.
I love this house.
Intelligent juxtapositions of materials and light. FLW continues as a strong influence in design.
Can't wait to see the Seymour house in Los Altos,CA. Ann Crockett
Frank Lloyd Wright is, perhaps, the most unique architect ever to have practiced the trade. I've seen many buildings designed by other architects--both residential and commercial--yet nothing I've ever seen has the subtle flow and cohesiveness as Wright's designs. It's unfortunate that other talented architects seem unable to find their own particular style that looks as timeless 50 to 100 years from now as good as it may look today. Perhaps this is the true secret of Wright's genius.
Beautiful way to show such a master piece. Love the music especially. The title please?
I can't wait to go inside! I live very close by, and would encourage all lovers of FLW to donate to continue renovations. The outside is still...as the Irish say, "bijoux". And there are several more buildings in this complex that need a whole makeover as well. http://www.barnsdall.org/support/membership/
(Note: I am not a member or advocate of HHH or Barnsdall, just an avid citizen and lover of the art center). Of course this video is beautiful and captures the best parts, but the outside park needs TLC!
Thanks for this feature!!
Great flying and great editing .. congrats
Who is the drone pilot/videographer?
Beautifully done!
What an amazing video and presentation of a Beautiful piece of architectural art! Bravo!
I thought it went way too fast..would have appreciated the opportunity to linger in certain areas...don't even know where the beautiful hindu goddess was located in the house or on the grounds. A full pan of books on the library shelves? Why? Great idea, but perhaps more geared for the 2 second attention span so necessary to live and drive in LA.
This was an excellent presentation and tour of Hollyhock! LOVE FLW
Magnificent!
Show us the ORIGINAL pictures when it was first built, Give us a taste of those old black and whites, next show us what TIME AND NEGLECT over the years did to it, then show us these CURRENT refurbished pictures. That would have given us more of the visual history and spirit of a memorable home.
