Keep It Together
Period & Classical Architecture
Classic, period styles
Firs right gap and unusually small block perfectly. Does not detract from architectural period style of Australian Bungalows either but, rather draws attention to their period character. By expressing the style & feature of the Australian bungalow from street level to top of patio balustrade and matching the neighbours bricks, proportions & cut free spacing adds even more continuity. The modernist black box with subtle features almost acts to redact the gap and express the charm of the Australian bungalows either side which in them selves should help to achieve the recognition that this period of architecture has lacked for too long. This also preserves this corner and the character of this block of quaint houses for many years. Helping to keep big development from engulfing this section as the block adjoins the local shipping precinct. A great example of how great design can address so many issues.
