Moods - Boho
Here is a room in which each major item holds it own is such a way that any of them could be replaced without having to "redo" the entire room. This is what I need to be working for as I already know that when I can the furniture will be replaced - the couches definitely and possible the credenza if it doesn't work well after being painted.
This room makes me return to an earlier thought about my living room. I've thrown blankets over the furniture because I hate it and nothing works well together. Here the couch is as grungy looking as mine but with all the other elements in the room, everything pulls together into the desired look. - Plants in fancy pots or hangers, throw pillows that add an accent color, and a brightly painted chest makes a statement and sets the bounder between the room and the entryway.
This is one of those pictures that you immediately love but is impossible to copy. There would never be all the empty space around this scene, which is what makes it stand out and be noticed. No on would leave a string of lights draped into their chair and the tiny side table is not only too small but the plant would never be put back on in unless you were expecting a photographer. I love this style but would like to see more examples of rooms that are actually lived in.
Printed tapestry - Pottery Barn Teen What a great idea for doorways or windows
I'd love to have a guest room like this
A shelf could be mounted right below the window sill to hold potted plants and decorative glass
Rethink macrame as a window covering. Can it be made from light-weight cord with a somewhat dense design that would filter light
I still have the wish to make one window a french door opening onto the deck. The plants will provide enough screening for privacy. And hopefully a fan or citronella lamps will keep the bugs away on those perfect days when I want the windows open.
Note the shelf with mirror and favorite things
I can always layer colorful blankets on my all-white bedding for different sensations.
Exactly what I have in mind for my Atelier. Although I don't have a wonderfully wide window sill.
