Floors and Walls...
Painted OSB floors from Houzzer, Cookiepus62...with explanation of technique and materials: @rachieleigh - I read up online doing a search for "painting plywood floors." So far holding up well, but we've only been walking on them for about 2 months. :-) I used ACE Hardware product Royal Porch and Floor and loved how it rolled on. My church has used their floor paint in the sanctuary and parish house for ages and it has held up well, so I felt confident using it. Downside is the 24 hour wait time between coats. The main color is called Gray Patina, and spattered with Steel Wool (dark gray), High Hiding White, Brick Red (I think that's the name of the color, and Cedar Crest. I used Cedar Crest in the bedroom and I absolutely LOVE the color - in the duck egg family. That floor I spattered only in white - it reminds me of a star field. I looked at a few websites about spattering painted floors, then just went and tried it out on a practice board out in the yard. :-D Learned that if you spatter close to the floor, the dots are small; the higher off the floor you spatter from, the larger the spots (which I found counter-intuitive). I smacked the brush against a screw driver wrapped in...
What a wonderful floor...While it is "busier" than I'd normally do, it is so warm and rich, that it is highly appealing...
And again...
If I were to do wood floors, this would be the choice.
This floor is to die for...
I love the Saltillo, washed wood, and plaster...
This pale floor is fabulous...
More Terra Cotta...
More slate or bluestone...
I've always liked slate floors too.
Bluestone makes a wonderfully cool floor.
Whether these floors are actual stone or tile, I don't know, but limestone...or the appearance of it...is my favorite flooring material.
Loooovely....
As a matter of fact, yes, I can imagine these in my kitchen...and everywhere else in the house...love this.
Another stone floor to love...
This concrete look floor tile is gorgeous...
I love this floor...
And this floor is porcelain tile that resembles concrete...I love it!
This wonderful floor is actually a type of porcelain tile...how cool!
I'd like these in a larger size...
Note the wonderful Saltillo tile floor...
Look at that wonderful slate floor!
Unique and creative floor treatment...
I love this stained concrete floor...
The depth of this wall color is amazing...it is painted plaster.
Perfect wall color...
I love these walls...so serene...
This wall is wonderful!
Ditto...
Board formed concrete walls...
The wood walls, ceiling, and floors all remind me of Grandmother's place...which was of Swedish influence.
Combined textures...could be done in the bathroom and hallways of the cabin...
Another view...
Wonderful wall color...
I. Love. These. Walls...(don't like the stool at all...)
I love this!
There's something about the clean white walls of Greek rooms that entices and soothes me...And I love the organic hand formed nature of plaster, stucco, and adobe.
Textured concrete...cool and spare...you can add nearly anything to it, and it will still feel calm.
Great mirror, walls, and vanity! I truly love this color and texture combination.
Whether interior or exterior, walls don't get more perfect than these rich color saturated ones.
More weathered texture on color faded stucco...
Desert Color...
The color play of this wall and window is beautiful in its graphic simplicity.
These brightly colored walls call to mind the work of Mexican architects Ricardo Legorreta or Luis Barragan...
Light, shadow, texture...
I love this wall...
Two wonderful flooring materials...I especially love the slate...
