The mondo grass will made a nice carpet in the cul-de-sac plantings. It spreads and looks like a grass but will not need cutting. It stays green even in a drought.

The Kousa Dogwood is a beautiful under-story tree that should be used more. It blooms later than flowering dogwood and is not susceptible to the anthracnose disease that affects cornus florida.
