The red tiles are Tesla solar shingles.
Notice the shameless plug for the Tesla Battery Wall.
This is a pretty boss foam board model of a solar powered house for Charlie’s global citizen day. I have a sharp X-Acto blade and some mad model skills. The silver squares are classic solar panels and it is connected to the grid to sell back electricity.
A bucket list thing for me is the chefs table at Victoria and Alberts at the Grand Floridian at Disney World. I really like the concept of embracing the dining table in the kitchen and not as a trade off for not having a “formal dining room.” I think it changes it to more of an experience. I don’t know if I’m a fan of what they chose for their actual table though.
Great view from the office!
I like the wall mounted monitor...or 3 and the window looking out and desk. I would also like walls to write on. JB-Good place for everyone to do their homework together!
It sort of looks like PF Changs but I like lights on the house
JB- Concrete drive is a good way, Solar lights could be an option.
I like the sunken fire pit and walkway lights, but it's too square for me. Too many right angles. JB-Design shape of pit should fit with shape of house, more curves is good.
Lighting the pathways.
Kind of interesting and imposing. JB-Unimpose it and could be better.
I like the pavers. I don't think they are too realistic in MI. Maybe stamped concrete instead. JB- how about exposed pebble concrete.
I like the idea of lights recessed in the pavement...like at the airport to help with navigating around.
I don't like the stone at the entrance way, but I like the pavers and white walls surrounding the driveway
I'm sorry...I grew up here. Spanish tile and white stucco are a part of me, but I know that it's likely not feasible/realistic for this project. JB-we can all dream...
Maybe don't need two... JB- Who's going to take care of the kids when you are in the shower?
Possibly under island wine cooler.
