Futato - Passerini Renvoation
New tile for shower floor.
Alno, BLOCK appliance pull. No regular pulls. Note from David: I found regular pulls for Alno BLOCK at this website: http://alnoinc.com/product-category/cabinet-hardware/?filtering=1&filter_finish=106&filter_series=148. The pulls come in 3, 3.5, 4, and 6", and the appliance pulls come in 8, 12, and 18".
Hi Abby, here's an appliance pull that has the same look as the Atlas IT collection. It looks like they also have this in a bunch of other sizes, so maybe it could work? If not, it seems that the Bauhaus from Emtek might be our second best choice.
Hot water dispenser
Existing bathroom tile for reference.
Hardware Option: Looking for a hardware line that gives us options on size & appliances pulls. What do you think of this? Emtek Bauhaus in Polished Chrome. (We can go shiny since we're not matching to appliances? - they don't have a stainless steel option in this line) David: I *really* like these. It's a simple U, so no chance of catching a belt loop, and it has both the square corners that I like, as well as the curve, which I think will appeal to Ron.
This is a kind of shower system I saw at a hotel in Germany a couple of years ago and loved. This *specific* one is not necessarily the one I’m looking for, I just get overwhelmed when confronted with 100 choices of the same object. Could you give me your opinion? Things I liked: 1. Rain Shower head 2. Handheld thing 3. Jets from the wall 4. "regular" faucet on bottom - very useful for things like washing out smelly buckets, or cat carriers after a trip to the vet. :) AW: Thanks for the breakdown of what you liked about it; I think we can recreate this system with these components
Please ignore these textures and colors, but the herringbone pattern in the niches is a nice detail.
I like the texture and modernity of this tile, maybe just as the back wall of the shower? This is a natural stone from Ann Sacks; I've put in an inquiry to find out if it is still available and pricing. What do you think about the little extra maintenance on natural stone? I just found out this tile is discontinued... but they sent an alternate suggestion. I'll save here.
Angular Faucet
don't need the LED function.
More angular faucet
Concept only. Sleek & clean with pops of color. Different ways to incorporate color, but this image shows a clean and modern aesthetic.
The idea of a floating vanity cabinet is a nice possibility.
Nice basin, overall sleek look.
Ron really likes this, though I feel it's a little too Star Trek.
Nice gray for lower cabinets. AW: Agree!!
Thick counters, glass backsplash.
We love the burgundy backsplash, the dark counter, the white upper cabinets, and just the overall look.
Glass backsplash, hood design.
Again, the backsplash here is nice, as is the charcoal gray.
Like the dark counter and the red backsplash.
Hex tile on floor. Gradient of gray.
Dual Zone beverage cooler
Colors. Dark Slate Backpainted glass
General layout, but add storage under counter. (sink opposite of windows)
Vanity configuration. Replace wood with solid surface?
Sink vanity configuration. Extended counter with vessel/semi-vessel sink. Open (or closed) storage. Long sleek lines.
Layout only.
Extended counter design element in powder room
Sink with extended counter (for counter and storage space) Can re-create with appropriate materials. Sink would be opposite window wall.
Size of vanity. D&R: This is a great style, but we think it's a little too small. See the sinks in the original bathroom posts for sizing.
Microwave in Pantry cabinet. Pull outs in pantry. D&R: Microwave doesn't have to be hidden, but should not be on the counter (under-cabinet mount?)
Glass backsplash and modern window casing detail D&R: both casing and backsplash look great
Cabinet colors, style. D&R: style is good, color is okay. Ron likes the sink mounting style.
Narrow lighted mirror D&R: it's fine, not necessarily exciting
Wall mount sink in powder room D&R: sink is a little too small
Narrow wall mount sink with towel bar- powder room D&R: sink is definitely too small—need to fit both hands at once!
Narrow wall mount powder room sink D&R: again, too small.
D&R: hoping for a beverage fridge that can accommodate a variety of things—beer, wine, mixers.
Cooktop in Island. Bar height component to island. Ceiling mount exhaust. D&R: no island, but bar height is good.
Option with Island configuration. Cooktop in Island, Wall oven in pantry space. D&R: looking at single range rather than wall oven
