Lifemark sets the bar for best practice in design and architecture. They make it easy to consider safety and usability today, tomorrow and for the future. Blum would recommend anyone renovating or building new to look at the Lifemark Design Standards and useful tips.

Adam from Lifemark was incredibly helpful during the design of two elderly persons housing units that we worked on. The team were always courteous and able to answer any questions we had about the standards or refer us to someone who could. They were also able to offer advice or suggestions about how to achieve the standards, such as providing example images of suitable entry thresholds or door handles when needed. Lifemark were a pleasure to work with, and we have now been able to achieve a provisional 5 star rating for the dwellings.

Lifemark is a great organisation that promotes housing that is more accessible and adaptable - making it easier for people with a disability or injury to live more comfortably in their houses now & in the future. Genius Homes offers house designs that use the Lifemark standards. We can customise any of our standard plans to meet the Lifemark Standards and make new homes more accessible and future proof for our customers with features like wet floor showers, ramp entryways & wider doors for disabled or wheel chair access.

I am a member of Lifemark and they are great to work with. The system does make sense and it should be in every household. We worked with Lifemark on our Harakeke Design: Tiny 1 and Tiny 2, the team helped us to improve it to the Lifemark standards. Hope we see more new properties with Lifemark Standards in there.
