Anyone else think number 2 is a dusting/cleaning nightmare...? All the little ledges.... I don't want to drag my vac or dustbuster in there... how awkward!
I don't think number2 is grim, referencing another comment... a cool grey space is just what you need in my arid, hot area of the world.
I just think it's a cleaning nightmare... I have to say if there was a rectangular pot full of string of pearls plant spilling down that wall, I wouldn't be unhappy.
#19 and #11 ...being a child of the early 70's, terrazzo forever speaks to me of shopping centre public toilets....
#7 I love the petrol blue tiles, but that orangey wood vanity is yelling at me.
#9, I love the fish wallpaper but the combination of that blue colour with the tile colour is making me a little nauseous...
Thankfully we can't have all the same tastes, or the world would be insanely boring, so pffft! for my opinion.
We did tile from floor to ceiling, and in the same tiles as the floor... it makes cleaning a dream, and as we move into retirement, we don't want to have to repaint or repaper. Sorry about the bad pics, but you get the idea. I like that grey is cool and really doesn't date, it's always acceptable. You can throw any colour in that you want with towelling, diffusers, accessories, plants. I have a purple scheme, a white scheme, a charcoal scheme and a green scheme, and just keep changing it every so often, between the bathroom and ensuite.
The variable grey blotch through the tile keeps it from being too dark, it's a medium grey.
Walk in shower with no hob, and no glass, (main bathroom and ensuite the same).
We made the (in the last 10 yrs it seems) unusual decision to tile all the same, because everyone seemed to be doing bitty, different tiles in the same space, a la 'The Block' and it's the opposite of restful for me. I just feel it makes the space way too busy, especially if it's a small space. Our builders were surprised but pleased, as there was way less scope for error, lol
Many way too busy and not restful IMHO. No.12 with the mirror being wider than the tiling would do my head in 😂
