Garden rooms, cabanas, deep decks, outdoor kitchens… whatever the name or design, sheltered rooms are great for the season. Ideally this space would have a few (but not four) walls, a sense of enclosure and a source of warmth, but most important is a connection or view to nature. Number 4 and the Russian one for the woodwork eclectic.
I just wonder how all the soft furnishings go when it is windy and rainy. I’ve been thinking of creating a partially inclosed area out the back as I have a huge patio (65sq m) and want to be able to use it more often without the constant in and out of lounge cushions, etc. so they don’t get wet in a southerly. I also want to maintain a sense of openness with the back yard so I don’t feel hemmed in. Haven’t really come up with anything yet.
I love them all, they all look really restful
