Minett Studio Architecture and Design

Hi Itai, Thank you for your lovely comments. This project was around $350-$400k for construction cost. You would also need to factor in the Architectural fees, land surveyor, structural engineer and town planning application fees. Generally, we say to allow 9 months for design and construction documentation and then another 9-12 months for construction depending on the level of complexity. Sometimes an existing home is more challenging than a new build as you might uncover structural defects that need to be fixed. We would recommend a Building Inspector initially to see what condition the existing structure and building is in before starting to design. Feel free to get in touch at alishia@minettstudio.com.au if you would like some more details or a great Building inspectors contact number. Best of luck! Ali

Hey Minett. Thanks for the reply. I'm many years away from doing anything like this, but was just curious as to what I would be in for as it's something we may consider one day. For now we are just doing a minor cosmetic renovation DIY :)
