Project: A dated living room was cleverly redesigned, and the fireplace moved from its central position. The homeowners wanted to get rid of the imposing fireplace and the built-in television, which was located too high for comfortable viewing, and create a welcoming contemporary living area.

Along with lowering the television to eye-level, the fireplace is now an off-centre feature balanced out by the custom wall joinery. A specialty paint finish created a solid ‘concrete’ look around the fireplace.
