You can pretty up your home as much as you like with the latest decorating trends, gorgeous artwork and artfully arranged furniture, but if you really want to stand out from the crowd it’s time to make your home glow in the dark. Just about every room in the house can benefit from a fluorescent feature or two, whether it gives you a lift when you’re doing your laps or casts your kitchen in an unexpected glow. Take inspiration from these homes to see what could work at your house.

If you have a wine collection to be proud of, why shouldn’t you put it up in lights? This Moroccan-themed cellar’s glowing acrylic arches makes choosing a wine an experience guests are sure to get a kick out of as much as the homeowners.

I think it’s funny that people are complaining about cutting vegetables and working on a glowing countertop. It only glows in the dark. Who cuts vegetables in the dark?
I think it’s a great idea. It would be great to navigate the kitchen in the middle of the night without having to turn on the lights. To each his own.
