Browsing through the latest Ikea catalogue is a pleasure many of us indulge in – and why not? The global furniture and homewares powerhouse reflects shifting modes of living, beliefs and tastes around the world and reinterprets them with an often recognisable twist. The latest creations reflect our growing need for flexible living spaces that can adapt as we need them to – to various types of families, renters on the move, the overlap of work and home, and our increasing reliance on technology – along with our desire for affordable, sustainable furnishings.
We’ve picked our favourite solutions for storage, comfort and inspiration from the 324-page catalogue, which is due to land in Australian letterboxes in mid-August and in-store on September 1, so you have a head start on the new collections.
