We had to work with what we “inherited” when we bought our 10 year old house. We took down a huge shed and put a pergola over the slab the shed previously sat on to create a seating area. We had the concrete slabs and pergolas in two areas painted to match to unify the design. We used stones as mulch to continue the beach theme (we live near the coast). We’ve done all the planning and planting ourselves. It’s more of a challenge when you have to work with what’s already there but satisfying too when you’re happy with the result. The hardest part was finding someone to do the construction work!!

Oceanic Pools

Australian's are blessed with a great outdoor culture in their homes. I also think that a pool renovation can boost the appearance of your outdoor areas.

Had pools for 40 years. Experiencing my own children and frequent child visitors, now grandchildren with visitors. You are the door to the pool, never trust anyone or anything to guard children against an accident. This beautiful house is possibly a lot older than you think. Mind you the rules are becoming ridiculous. Do they want Australians to have no pools.
