Love Colour? See the Shortlisted Homes in Dulux's Colour Awards
The 28 homes that made the cut for the finals of the Dulux Colour Awards 2022 are in, and they're a feast for the eyes

The 28 finalists in the Dulux Colour Awards 2022 Residential Interior category have just been announced and they’re packed full of clever ideas for adding colour to your home. So hit the pause button, grab a cuppa and prepare to be inspired by these beautiful homes in Australia and New Zealand.
“We were excited to see such an exciting and imaginative use of colour in this year’s entries,” says Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux colour and communications manager. “Architects and designers have really pushed the boundaries with colour application to create inspiring, engaging – and often surprising – interior and exterior spaces.
“Deeper tones of blue and green were popular amongst residential interiors, showcasing diverse moods in areas and differentiating functional use in a space – from deep and dark, to bright and lively – applied to cabinetry, trims and walls to create a peaceful, relaxing interior setting. Impactful tones and washed walls are also making a presence, bringing a sense of moody sophistication to interiors,” she says.
The winners of the 36th Dulux Colour Awards will be announced in the coming months, so keep an eye out for our story.

Small smile to myself as I viewed these pics. Somehow I never think of white as a colour.. Obviously I need to rethink as half of these featured rooms are painted white.
We would go mad if our landscapes were only shades of white. Where is the refuge for the eye; in the so called "pops of colour in a picture or cushions".
Serious question now.. Is white used because the person who inhabits the space is afraid of colour? Is it because the person involved is so indecisive that white is the easier choice or have they been sold a pup with white being described as sophisticated?
