The client wanted the design to follow the new kitchen, with grey stone tiles to match the stone in the kitchen, and black fittings.

What challenges did you work around?
The initial bathroom was dark with only one small window hidden in the toilet alcove. We added a skylight above the vanity to bring in more natural light.
We also had to ensure the small bathroom had everything it needed to be used well. Now it has heated towel rails, towel hooks beside the shower and vanity storage for towels and spare products.

Why do you think this room works?
Being the only bathroom in
the house, the monochrome palette, with the abundance of natural light, makes the space feel much larger.
The black fittings and black vanity also contrast well against the grey tiles. The layout of this bathroom is simple yet functional, with curved features and round wall lights that soften the space.

If there's no room for a bath it's better not to have one than putting a shower over a bath.. Falling over in a shower is bad enough without the added catastrophe of falling OUT of the bath..
Lovely simple elegant bathroom. Great job in a small space.
Amazing how nice you can make even the more difficult of bathroom spaces look with the correct designs being implemented. I am a huge fan of the black framing on the shower enclosure as it really complements the entire space. Thanks for the great post Vanessa from https://newcastleshowerscreens.com
