Two sinks can save a marriage! Don’t care about whether it takes up the counter space; it’s about not tripping over one another while in there at the same time! 👍🏻👍🏻

@christinedboland when designing my current home I referred to the master bath with two sinks, plus the toilet in it's own little room, our marriage saver bathroom. Our last house had a tiny master bath. I did my hair in the bathroom my girls used and kept my makeup in a basket on my dresser because after storing our toothbrushes and his shaving supplies there wasn't much space for anything else. So we may have overdone it just a bit when we built but my husband passed away 3 years ago after living here for 20 years and neither of us ever regretted allowing the space for two separate sinks and counters. His was on the side with a window so I've moved my makeup over to that side to take advantage of the natural light and, since each is now used less, I usually alternate which side I thoroughly clean each week so still not regretting it.

Sorry to the two sinkers - My husband and I have led very busy lives - He has the ensuite I have the main bathroom even now we are retired. Here's the thing we never ever used the bathrooms at the same time anyway. He was always an hour ahead of me right from the get go. But no we never had children, even so I still think it would have worked as we always had . Children would be put in another bathroom if necessary.
