Perforated metal. These are what were on my stick drive. The way light comes through them and makes patterns and when two sheets are next to each other the interference patterns are dynamic - from a static materials. They can act as one way mirrors depending on what side the light source is. You can see a little of this on the second picture.

LOVE the pool!!!

Not a big fan of Corian - from the introduction of it, it semmed fake and plasticy to me. It also scratches, stains and burns easilly and the fact that it is repairable didn'y make it much more popular. Last Corian counter we did was more than 10 years ago and it was the first one we did in 5 years prior to it... Customers that had one - don't want another and customers that didn't like it from the beginning - still don't... Can't give it away anymore and that says it all.

Possibly good for commercial appliacations (reception counters, etc.) when you're looking for a unique design.

Quality Solid Surface Inc

Thanks for your opinion Kuche+Cucina.

What a refreshing a new point of view not at all present on any internet forum.

Some customers of ours prefer Corian / Solid Surfaces and don't like cold feeling of stone and this dreadful sound every time you put a jar or crystal glass on stone- like surface.

You are right Corian became very popular in more applications then just kitchen counters. Part of our success in looking for other markets was constant attack by stone lobby . It was a "silver lining" of kinds. It's interesting to see stone desiners replicating ideas created for true seamless applications . Stone is great and beautiful for small islands that do not exceed 120" size of the slab.

Scratch yes but they do not chip out big chunks of stone and they can be seamless (only true if done by good professional, I see what is done out there in horror )

Needed a good kick while we are down .
