Photography by Eduard Hueber / archphoto North and south exposures in this 3000 square foot loft in Tribeca allowed us to line the south facing wall with two guest bedrooms and a 900 sf master suite. The trapezoid shaped plan creates an exaggerated perspective as one looks through the main living space space to the kitchen. The ceilings and columns are stripped to bring the industrial space back to its most elemental state. The blackened steel canopy and blackened steel doors were designed to complement the raw wood and wrought iron columns of the stripped space. Salvaged materials such as reclaimed barn wood for the counters and reclaimed marble slabs in the master bathroom were used to enhance the industrial feel of the space.

The soft roman shades and fun plant container coordinate with the teal accent on the vintage clawfoot tub.

Compact En-Suite design completed by Reflections | Studio that demonstrates that even the smallest of spaces can be transformed by correct use of products. Here we specified large format white tiles to give the room the appearance of a larger area and then wall mounted fittings to show more floor space aiding to the client requirement of a feeling of more space within the room.

A black tile skirt around the grey, black and white patterned floor. Above this, a subway gloss white beveled edge tile dressed all the walls from floor to ceiling. A black curved border tile drew the eye down from the ceiling and created a bold horizontal line around the room. Though the contrast could have been potentially very harsh, the soft contour to the tile, and the beveled edges, and the patterns, were composed in a way that was balanced and harmonious. The combination was delicate and feminine, and bright and beautiful.
