MR.MITCHELL was engaged to renovate and decorate the newly purchased 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment built in the 60’s. The brief required them to design a space that was suitable for temporary accommodation for interstate guests, immediate and extended family. The client wanted a space with a modern interior that made reference to the building’s architectural history and took full advantage of the sprawling city views.

Electric barbecues: If live in an apartment and your outdoor area consists of little more than a small balcony, an electric barbecue is a great option. Electric models require no ventilation, so you don’t have to worry about cooking smells wafting up to the neighbours, and they can be safely used undercover. They are easy to install and maintain – many can simply be popped on a tabletop and stored away after use – and cleaning them is a breeze. Moth Orchid Botanical name: Phalaenopsis This popular orchid with its butterfly-like winged petals is not as delicate as it appears. I’ve had three beautiful years out of a supermarket specimen, with little attention. Keep those gorgeous blooms coming by pruning when flowers drop and no more buds are visible. Snip stems, leaving two nodes below the cut, repot in orchid mix and feed with orchid food once a year. It should flower again – be patient. Prefers: Moderate light, but not direct sunlig - a_mcnicholl
