Our firm was tasked to design an interesting front walk entrance incorporating the client's love of water features and statuary. The results are fun and whimsical!

The trellised terrace opens up to a quieter view of a magnificent existing redwood grove. A bluestone footbridge crosses a bioswale filled with clusters of ornamental grasses and perennials. In the distance, an existing below-grade greenhouse, renovated as part of the project program.

What once was a sloped, roughly terraced, and unusable grassy backyard is now an expansive resort. These clients' outdoor dreams came true with this large paver patio that expands the length of the home, a double water feature focal point and two fire pits.

Wow! Curb Appeal! Many clients come to me to express how their front yard landscape lacks curb appeal, color, interest, and is just not welcoming. The first recommendation I make is to add a more inviting and functional walkway to their front door. Most sidewalks are off the driveway and difficult to navigate when cars are parked there. The next is to add colorful, albeit low maintenance, and flowering plant material. My installation crew, Showcase Landscape and Irrigation, https://www.facebook.com/Showcase-Landscape-And-Irrigation-262124380507467/ are unsurpassed at the installation of beautiful flagstone walkways, patios and stone work. Showcase just completed this gorgeous walkway and front yard transformation for my client in Fort Collins. Curb appeal is more than just adding plant material as you can see from my design and finished photo below. Thank you Showcase! Design by Tanya Fisher, Colorado Vista Landscape Design, Inc.

Copper, hand hammered "cat" weathervane at Soul Safari™. This weather vane is mounted atop the "bean gazebo" adjacent to Kitty's chicken coop and has preformed very well for nearly 30 years with no care or maintenance. Photo by Landscape Artist: Brett D. Maloney.
