Great Design, Grand Entry.
Steep unattractive steps, no roof, and a pesky leak at the front door drove this client to pursue a fix and new look. Poole's Stone & Garden, Inc. came up with this beautiful concept and implemented the stone work.

The front yard and entry walkway is flanked by soft mounds of artificial turf along with a mosaic of orange and deep red hughes within the plants. Designed and built by Landscape Logic.

This open-air front porch was infilled with arched windows to create a charming enclosed front porch. As an extension of living space, it provides an immediate connection to the outdoors. It is an oasis away, a place to relax and take in the warm sunshine and views to the garden.
MainStreet Design Build
In addition to the covered porch itself, exquisite design details made this renovation all that more impressive—from the new copper and asphalt roof to the Hardiplank, clapboard, and cedar shake shingles, and the beautiful, panel-style front door.

Around the right side of the house, we added a Mud Room and open Porch. When we enter our house, coming down stone steps from the back of the garage, we enter through this Porch into our Mud Room.
The Porch is furnished with modular seating, giving us the ability to take a nap in the shade, or enjoy drinks and snacks away from the sun and rain.

Studio Z Architecture
A major television network purchased a 1925 Craftsman-style bungalow in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to renovate into the prize for a televised giveaway. The network sought out Studio Z to re-imagine the 900-square-foot house into a modern, livable home that could remain timeless as the homeowner’s lifestyle needs evolved. Located in the historic Water Hill neighborhood within a few blocks of downtown Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, the home’s walkability was a huge draw. The end result, at approximately 1,500 square feet, feels more spacious than its size suggests.

Phantom Screens
This 1906 single floor bungalow in Mobile, Alabama was restored to showcase Phantom’s window, door and motorized screens. They wanted to bring together the home’s indoor and outdoor living space and make it comfortable year round in Alabama’s changing climate.
Phantom’s screens were added to each window and door, allowing homeowners to control the sunlight and breeze that enters the indoor and outdoor living spaces without letting in bugs or debris. It was even possible to turn the porch into an ‘inside room’ contained from the elements, by lowering Phantom’s clear vinyl motorized screens. The screens blend in seamlessly with heritage home’s design and can be easily retracted out of sight when not in use.
“They blend seamlessly in with the window and not detract from the beauty so we were able to preserve the old look and feel of the window yet add in the modern convenience of a retractable screen.”

The floating screened porch addition melds perfectly with both the original home's design and the yard's topography. The elevated deck and porch create cozy spaces that are protected the elements and allow the family to enjoy the beautiful surrounding yard.
