I enjoy designing cushions, pillows and bedding because that means I get to handle some of the most amazing fabrics! This red, floral motif, plush Stickley fabric is one of them! Cotswold Cottage, Tacoma, WA. Belltown Design. Photography by Paula McHugh

This custom fireplace, where once there was only a blank wall, is the glue that ties the music area to the living room. A swivel chair that sits in the living room can be part of the fireplace grouping or the sectional sofa suite. Made of composite stone by Boral and a gas insert fire box, this rustic/majestic fire feature balances the sofa and t.v. to perfection.

MA Peterson www.mapeterson.com Custom exposed support beams and columns are featured prominently throughout the room, and are reminiscent of the historical Butler Square building in downtown Minneapolis, a favorite of the homeowner's. Elements throughout the room include auction-found antique, turn of the century andirons as well as antique Persian rugs and Eric Brand custom sofas. A centered, iron lantern with semi flush lights creates a focal point of light and energy.

We wanted to show how this great room flows with three chandeliers all in a row. The dining room has a grande pocket door made of old growth fir, as is the rest of the millwork in the house from 1914. The cross lap joints in the trim give this space a Japanese sentiment, something that goes down in history for this space.
