The addition of a new bathroom created a master suite for this traditional ranch home. The homeowners had definite ideas and everything came together to create a functional and stylish space.

The house's second bathroom was only half a bath with an access door at the dining area. We extended the bathroom by an additional 36" into the family room and relocated the entry door to be in the minor hallway leading to the family room as well. A classical transitional bathroom with white crayon style tile on the walls, including the entire wall of the toilet and the vanity. The alcove tub has a barn door style glass shower enclosure. and the color scheme is a classical white/gold/blue mix.

Originally built in 1929 and designed by famed architect Albert Farr who was responsible for the Wolf House that was built for Jack London in Glen Ellen, this building has always had tremendous historical significance. In keeping with tradition, the new design incorporates intricate plaster crown moulding details throughout with a splash of contemporary finishes lining the corridors. From venetian plaster finishes to German engineered wood flooring this house exhibits a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary styles. Many of the rooms contain reclaimed wood paneling, discretely faux-finished Trufig outlets and a completely integrated Savant Home Automation system. The primary suite area is outfitted with floor to ceiling Calacatta stone with an uninterrupted view of the Golden Gate bridge from the bathtub. A relaxed farmhouse feel was the goal for this bathroom. Silvery-blue painted cabinets, nature inspired granite countertop, and parquet tile flooring. In the walk-in curbless shower built for aging in place, the accent wall has a custom tile pattern mimicking a quilt, a heated bench, and a rain shower head.

A blah master bathroom got a glam update by adding high end finishes. Vessel sinks, burnished gold fixtures, iridescent, glass picket tiles by SOHO - Artemis collection, and Silestone - Copper Mist vanity top add bling. Cabinet color is SW Uncertain Gray.

Small master bathroom renovation. Justin and Kelley wanted me to make the shower bigger by removing a partition wall and by taking space from a closet behind the shower wall. Also, I added hidden medicine cabinets behind the apparent hanging mirrors.

To give our client a clean and relaxing look, we used polished porcelain wood plank tiles on the walls laid vertically and metallic penny tiles on the floor. Using a floating marble shower bench opens the space and allows the client more freedom in range and adds to its elegance. The niche is accented with a metallic glass subway tile laid in a herringbone pattern.
