They came to us requesting a more spa like experience and a designer’s eye to create a more refined space. A large steam shower, bench and rain head replaced a dated corner bathtub. In addition, we added heated floors for those cool Chicago months and several storage niches and built-in cabinets to keep extra towels and toiletries out of sight. The use of circles in the tile, cabinetry and new window in the shower give this primary bath the character it was lacking, while lowering and modifying the unevenly vaulted ceiling created symmetry in the space. The end result is a large luxurious spa shower, more storage space and improvements to the overall comfort of the room. A nice upgrade from the existing builder grade space! This luxurious spa-like bathroom was remodeled from a dated 90's bathroom. The entire space was demolished and reconfigured to be more functional. Walnut Italian custom floating vanities, large format 24"x48" porcelain tile that ran on the floor and up the wall, marble countertops and shower floor, brass details, layered mirrors, and a gorgeous white oak clad slat walled water closet. This space just shines!

New build dreams always require a clear design vision and this 3,650 sf home exemplifies that. Our clients desired a stylish, modern aesthetic with timeless elements to create balance throughout their home. With our clients intention in mind, we achieved an open concept floor plan complimented by an eye-catching open riser staircase. Custom designed features are showcased throughout, combined with glass and stone elements, subtle wood tones, and hand selected finishes. The entire home was designed with purpose and styled with carefully curated furnishings and decor that ties these complimenting elements together to achieve the end goal. This Australian-inspired new construction was a successful collaboration between homeowner, architect, designer and builder. The home features a Henrybuilt kitchen, butler's pantry, private home office, guest suite, master suite, entry foyer with concealed entrances to the powder bathroom and coat closet, hidden play loft, and full front and back landscaping with swimming pool and pool house/ADU.

This spa-like main bathroom features a seductive and dramatic marble-looking feature wall. The dark wall is softened by contrasting wood-looking plank floors and mosaic pebble tiled floor in the shower. The seven-foot shower has multiple shower heads, including rainfall. There is also a tiled bench and wall niches for convenience. The infinity glass walls feature brass accents that match the luxurious chandelier and plumbing fixtures. This bathroom is a homeowner's dream, designed with a sizeable drop-in jacuzzi for self-care spa nights. A separate toilet room is located just behind the shower, with an adjacent closet for storage. In addition, the double black bathroom vanity with statement hardware ties in the dark feature wall. The frameless mirrors above the vanity reflect light around the room.

Newport Coast Primary Bath Remodel

Luxurious custom cabinetry and millwork is the centerpiece of this resort-worthy main bathroom ensuite. Bakes & Kropp Fine Cabinetry in the Canterbury door style, featured in elegant walnut in a fossil matte finish, creates a refined and relaxing mood. A double-sink vanity, oversized linen cabinet and a custom vertical unit (complete with clever jewelry storage!) makes this room as practical as it is luxurious! This bathroom is resort living in the comfort of your own home!

A shower room with sink and vanity, and access from the hall, was notched out of the oversized primary bathroom. The blue 3" x 6" tile satisfied the homeowners' blue wish list item. The contrast of the blue tile and the terra cotta shower floor plus the stained crown molding has a Napa Valley vibe. The shower room is complete with a hinged glass door, a shower seat, shelves, and a handheld shower head.

The homeowners came to us seeking an updated bathroom to add a shower, additional storage, and make the Bathroom feel more spacious. The door was moved to capture a portion of the hall space adjacent to the Bathroom and replaced with a frosted glass panel door to let in more light. A full tiled shower was added, and two 2'-0" x 4'-0" skylights were installed to greatly increase the amount of daylight and provide additional headroom in the sloped ceiling. The shower features a stunning blue glass tile surround with a frameless glass enclosure that keeps the water from entering the rest of the room without adding any walls to keep the small space open. The custom vanity was designed with beautiful arched details, shown in the cabinet feet, quartz backsplash, and a matching mirrored medicine cabinet was installed! The linen closet was added for much-needed storage for this family bathroom and built with the same custom detail as the vanity. The cabinet doors and drawers are inset-style, as opposed to our standard European style, to preserve the historic charm that these clients love about their home.
