The reconfiguration of the master bathroom opened up the space by pairing a platform shower with a freestanding tub. The open shower, wall-hung vanity, and wall-hung water closet create continuous flooring and an expansive feeling. The result is a welcoming space with a calming aesthetic.

This remodeled bathroom now serves as powder room for the kitchen/family room and a guest bath adjacent to the media room with its pull-down Murphy bed. Since the bathroom opens directly off the family room, we created a small entry with planter and low views to the garden beyond. The shower now features a deck of ironwood, smooth-trowel plaster walls and an enclosure made of 3-form recycle resin panels with embedded reeds. The space is flooded with natural light from the new skylight above. Design Team: Tracy Stone, Donatella Cusma', Sherry Cefali Engineer: Dave Cefali Photo: Lawrence Anderson

The hex accent tile in the shower? The completely open space? There are so many details to this Lakeville, MN bathroom remodel, it’s hard to pick a favorite! We made such a transformation here taking out the tub that was never used and creating more storage. We added a second closet to the existing space to accommodate his and her storage, and a second sink! In the end, we gave them a beautiful and functional bathroom and we are thrilled with the end result!
