This powder bath makes a statement with textures. A vanity with raffia doors against a background of alternating gloss and matte geometric tile and striped with brushed gold metal strips. The wallpaper, made in India, reflects themes reminiscent of the client's home in India.

This new house is located in a quiet residential neighborhood developed in the 1920’s, that is in transition, with new larger homes replacing the original modest-sized homes. The house is designed to be harmonious with its traditional neighbors, with divided lite windows, and hip roofs. The roofline of the shingled house steps down with the sloping property, keeping the house in scale with the neighborhood. Hex tile floors, new tile shower, frameless glass shower doors, new painted cabinetry, granite countertop and plumbing fixtures really make this small space attractive, functional and is a major improvement over the previous version.

Stylish powder room.

The "before" of this project was an all-out turquoise, 80's style bathroom that was cramped and needed a lot of help. The client wanted a clean, calming bathroom that made full use of the limited space. The apartment was in a prewar building, so we sought to preserve the building's rich history while creating a sleek and modern design. To open up the space, we switched out an old tub and replaced it with a claw foot tub, then took out the vanity and put in a pedestal sink, making up for the lost storage with a medicine cabinet. Marble subway tiles, brass details, and contrasting black floor tiles add to the industrial charm, creating a chic but clean palette.

The tiler did such an excellent job with the tiling details, and don't you just love the green paint?

This powder room features a dark, hex tile as well as a reclaimed wood ceiling and vanity. The vanity has a black and gold marble countertop, as well as a gold round wall mirror and a gold light fixture.
