Small powder bath off living room was updated with glamour in mind. Lacquered grasscloth wallpaper has the look and texture of a Chanel suit. The modern cut crystal lighting and the painting-like Tufenkian carpet compliment the modern glass wall-hung sink.

An award winning project to transform a two storey Victorian terrace house into a generous family home with the addition of both a side extension and loft conversion. The side extension provides a light filled open plan kitchen/dining room under a glass roof and bi-folding doors gives level access to the south facing garden. A generous master bedroom with en-suite is housed in the converted loft. A fully glazed dormer provides the occupants with an abundance of daylight and uninterrupted views of the adjacent Wendell Park. The bathroom is black and white themed giving it a spacious and clean feel. Furthermore the walk in shower gives it a wet room feel, and having it up against the wall like so, maximises the remaining space.

Strict and concise design with minimal decor and necessary plumbing set - ideal for a small bathroom. Speaking of about the color of the decoration, the classical marble fits perfectly with the wood. A dark floor against the background of light walls creates a sense of the shape of space. The toilet and sink are wall-hung and are white. This type of plumbing has its advantages; it is visually lighter and does not take up extra space. Under the sink, you can see a shelf for storing towels. The niche above the built-in toilet is also very advantageous for use due to its compactness. Frameless glass shower doors create a spacious feel. The spot lighting on the perimeter of the room extends everywhere and creates a soft glow. Learn more about us - www.archviz-studio.com

Built in 1925, this 15-story neo-Renaissance cooperative building is located on Fifth Avenue at East 93rd Street in Carnegie Hill. The corner penthouse unit has terraces on four sides, with views directly over Central Park and the city skyline beyond. The project involved a gut renovation inside and out, down to the building structure, to transform the existing one bedroom/two bathroom layout into a two bedroom/three bathroom configuration which was facilitated by relocating the kitchen into the center of the apartment. The new floor plan employs layers to organize space from living and lounge areas on the West side, through cooking and dining space in the heart of the layout, to sleeping quarters on the East side. A glazed entry foyer and steel clad “pod”, act as a threshold between the first two layers. All exterior glazing, windows and doors were replaced with modern units to maximize light and thermal performance. This included erecting three new glass conservatories to create additional conditioned interior space for the Living Room, Dining Room and Master Bedroom respectively. Materials for the living areas include bronzed steel, dark walnut cabinetry and travertine marble contrasted with whitewashed Oak floor boards, honed concrete tile, white painted walls and floating ceilings. The kitchen and bathrooms are formed from white satin lacquer cabinetry, marble, back-painted glass and Venetian plaster. Exterior terraces are unified with the conservatories by large format concrete paving and a continuous steel handrail at the parapet wall. Photography by www.petermurdockphoto.com
