This remodel went from a tiny corner bathroom, to a charming full master bathroom with a large walk in closet. The Master Bathroom was over sized so we took space from the bedroom and closets to create a double vanity space with herringbone glass tile backsplash. We were able to fit in a linen cabinet with the new master shower layout for plenty of built-in storage. The bathroom are tiled with hex marble tile on the floor and herringbone marble tiles in the shower. Paired with the brass plumbing fixtures and hardware this master bathroom is a show stopper and will be cherished for years to come. Hall bath renovation! Mosaics, handmade subway tile and custom drapery all combine for a stunning update that isn’t going anywhere for a long time.

Design objectives for this primary bathroom remodel included: Removing a dated corner shower and deck-mounted tub, creating more storage space, reworking the water closet entry, adding dual vanities and a curbless shower with tub to capture the view.

A custom smoky gray painted cabinet was topped with grey blue Zodiaq counter. Blue glass tile was used throughout the bathtub and shower. Diamond-shaped glass tiles line the backsplash and add shimmer along with the polished chrome fixture. Two 36” vertical sconces installed on the backsplash to ceiling mirror add light and height.

This transitional bathroom has a metallic mosaic tile, recycled granite and glass counter top and bathtub surround. The copper colored tile is called Liberty Amber and the color is also available in the Metropolis cut and subway tiles. There are more colors in this collection. The counter and bathtub surround is made from a recycled granite and glass with copper flecks that compliment the mosaics, the color is called White Copper. The material is stain resistant, heat resistant, impact resistant and it does not need to be sealed. The material is 1/4" thick and can be placed on top of existing counters or on new cabinets. There are many colors and sizes.

New Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) The lighting, counter stools and soapstone countertops give the room an urban chic, semi-industrial feel but the warmth of the wooden beams and the wood flooring make sure that the space is not cold. A secondary, smaller island was put on wheels in order to have a movable and highly functional prep space.
