This master bathroom by Nathan Gornall Design was introduced to a large heritage listed property in Sydney's Killara, improving the home's amenity whilst remaining sensitive to the period of the rest of the home.

Art Deco-inspired large ensuite bathroom with pink and cream Butterfly tile from Perini, featuring a top-mounted double sink from Corian, Forme L'isola Freestanding Bath and walk-in shower. The three-level Mediterranean revival home started as a 1930s summer cottage that expanded downward and upward over time. We used a clean, crisp white wall plaster with bronze hardware throughout the interiors to give the house continuity. A neutral color palette and minimalist furnishings create a sense of calm restraint. Subtle and nuanced textures and variations in tints add visual interest. The stair risers from the living room to the primary suite are hand-painted terra cotta tile in gray and off-white. We used the same tile resource in the kitchen for the island's toe kick.

Walk-in shower with free standing tub and faucet. The shower has a curb-less entry with mosaic floor tile and accent wall piece.

The master bath cabinet layout was inspired by the high ceilings and the functionality of a master bath. Having a large tower added extra storage and added to the eloquent space with its size. The quartz countertops created a clean look in the dark gray. The large shower tiles added texture with the veining. The shower niches were a great spot to add more character and whimsy to the white and gray shower.

This stunning master suite is part of a whole house design and renovation project by Haven Design and Construction. The master bath features a 22' cupola with a breathtaking shell chandelier, a freestanding tub, a gold and marble mosaic accent wall behind the tub, a curved walk in shower, his and hers vanities with a drop down seated vanity area for her, complete with hairdryer pullouts and a lucite vanity bench.

The ensuite is a luxurious space offering all the desired facilities. The warm theme of all rooms echoes in the materials used. The vanity was created from Recycled Messmate with a horizontal grain, complemented by the polished concrete bench top. The walk in double shower creates a real impact, with its black framed glass which again echoes with the framing in the mirrors and shelving.
