Mid-Century Modern Bathroom

This elegant bathroom pairs a grey vanity with sleek, black handles against a backdrop of 24x24 Porcelain wall tiles. A freestanding bathtub beside a large window creates a serene atmosphere, while wood paneling adds warmth to the modern space.

This project involved 2 bathrooms, one in front of the other. Both needed facelifts and more space. We ended up moving the wall to the right out to give the space (see the before photos!) This is the kids' bathroom, so we amped up the graphics and fun with a bold, but classic, floor tile; a blue vanity; mixed finishes; matte black plumbing fixtures; and pops of red and yellow.

This remodel went from a tiny story-and-a-half Cape Cod, to a charming full two-story home. A second full bath on the upper level with a double vanity provides a perfect place for two growing children to get ready in the morning. The walls are painted in Silvery Moon 1604 by Benjamin Moore. The shower features three shower niches defined by an aluminum titanium bronze trim.

This master bathroom has Alder shaker cabinets with a black stain and EleQuence Cypress White 3CM quartz countertop. The bathroom has double vanity sinks as well as a sit-down makeup area to get ready for the day. The sconce lighting gives a modern look. The walk-in tile shower with half wall provides additional privacy and lets more natural light into the space.

Client brief was simple and clear: "We want to feel like we are in a luxury hotel bathroom ". 5rooms designed the space and furniture.

A powder bathroom is a great place to Go Bold! While it might seem counterintuitive, this larger, darker wall tile with fewer grout lines & reflective qualities, actually opened up this small space. The transition of movement & color, from paper to tile, was chosen with great care. Take a Seat!

We started out with quite a different plan for this bathroom. Before tiling we needed to re-plaster the walls but when we exposed the beautiful red sandstone behind, it had to stay. The original design had been pure Victorian but the final design combined Victorian with rustic and the result is striking.

Our Princeton architects designed this spacious shower and made room for a freestanding soaking tub as well in a space which previously featured a built-in jacuzzi bath. The floor and walls of the shower feature La Marca Polished Statuario Nuovo, a porcelain tile with the look and feel of marble. The new vanity is by Greenfield Cabinetry in Benjamin Moore Polaris Blue.
